Needless to say, by 10pm, I was ready for bed. I took LadyJ up, threw her in our bed and we were both out in 15 minutes.

This morning I woke up…. a good hour before my alarm was set to go off. Fuck.

I was wide awake. No use trying to get back to sleep. So I just got up to get dressed. Might as well go into work and get stuff done before anyone shows up. Fuck.

Heading back upstairs to get my glasses, I notice that xavi7734 fell asleep in hers. I go to take them off and wake her up by accident. She freaks wondering what I am doing. And comments that she didn’t even hear my alarm. I inform her thats because it hasn’t yet. And wont for a while.

I notice when I get ion the car that is is almost out of gas. So I need to stop and get some on the way to work. Guess what. BJ’s isnt open at 5am. Fuck.

OK… so I can make it to work on what I have. I will just have to remember to stop on the way home and fill up the tank. So off to work I go.

I get to work and grab my stuff out of the car. I head to the back entrance where I always park and try my card on the security sensor. Nothing. I try it again. Nothing. Fuck

And it is fucking 17 degrees out here. Realizing that my card may not work on the back door after hours, I decide to try the front. Its only about 50 yards away, I can deal with that. So I lug my backpack to the front door. Its always full of stuff. Laptop, camera, 2 extra lenses, extra batteries for the laptop, extra batteries for the camera, flash, etc etc etc… My card doesn’t work on the front door either. FUCK.

There is no one at the security desk either. FUCK!

OK… Screw it… someone will be here shortly… I will just go wait it out in the car. Least there it is warm…. So I lug my backpack BACK to the car, in this windy, freezing, empty parking lot…. start my car and kick the seat back to chill until someone else shows up. Then it hit me that, SHIT, I was almost out of gas. Now I have been sitting in the car wasting it away so I could keep warm. FUCK!!

I head out of the parking lot and up to the nearest QT, and at least made it there without running out of gas. So I fill it up, and head back to the office. There are two cars of people I know come in early where mine used to be. And I missed them. So now I cant even follow them in the building. And since they dont work for my company, I have no way of getting a hold of them to let me in. FUCK!

So I sit there for another 15 minutes…. least now I have gas…. Finally one of the maintenance guys pulls in. I know he has access to get in. I was able to follow him in, and finally got to my office. I open the door, and there stands three of the guys I work with, chatting. None of which ever come in early. Hell, two of them travel all the time, so they are rarely ever in the office in the first place. Had I know there was anyone else in the office, I would have just called them and had them come ope the front door. Mother Fuckers!

So now I have been more pissed off by 7am then most people are all day.

Add to this little snippet of my day, the fact that my head is pounding….I’m worn out….I have a fever…And it usually takes me 4 or 5 days to get rid of this….And don’t forget the whole sick=horny thing (Yea… Im fucked up that way… ) AND that of course xavi7734 wont even come near me when I am sick…..

Well… I have just come to the conclusion that this week is going to suck.

xavi7734 had also found this kick ass Green Chile salsa that we used to love. Its pretty damn hot. But its awesome. And I heaped a bunch of it generously on my food.

So…. today I am paying for it. Add to last nights meal that I am feeling a bit under the weather, and it equals me spending quite a bit of time in the potty.

The salsa in question is not making that a more enjoyable experience. I’m just saying.

So I get back to my office, sit down at my desk, and start iTunes.

U : I already have the desktop application. I need MSN Massager on my blackberry.

Other IT Guy to me privately : Please tell her to just put it on vibrate for the “MSN Massager”.

The only reason your computer should be involved to so that you can look at this message to remember the url http://www.blackberry.com/livemessenger that you will need to load ON YOUR BLACKBERRY. So yea… my account was reverted back to Safe….. Guess it all depends on WHO you talk to?

OK…. So after the company I work for was bought, I now report directly to the director of IT. Which means I am pretty much my own boss. If I need hardware or software, I send him an email and he finds a way to get it. Other than that, he leaves me alone and lets me do my job. I run the ATL Office of this company.

So for the first time in my professional career, I finally have a boss that I like. He trusts me enough to let me do my job the way I want it done. As long as things work, he couldn’t care less. And I am a big geek. My shit needs to work all the time.

Just had a nice Conf Call this morning. Seems my IT Director is leaving the company to go back to school and finish his Mastes.

Selfish Bastard! Leaving to better himself and shit.

NOW who am I going to have to deal with?

D : But I thought I would have more time. I didn’t think it would take this long.

M : Ahh…I see…. It must have been somewhat misleading when I said “This has to convert 18 to 20 gigs of data from one format to another. It will take around 5 to 6 hours to finish, hoping that there are no errors in the process and you get it to work on the first try. I would suggest starting it right away to make sure it is finished before you leave today.” Yea… I can see how that would be mistaken for “Nah… Take your time.”

D : So there is no way to make it go faster?

M : I really do think the word “No” was a pretty concise answer. There really isn’t that much wiggle room in the interpretation.

There are many others… but these are the ones I have found in the past few minutes.

No I am not a 13 year old girl.

No I am not going to see Twilight.

But it is the same sound.

A friend and former co-worker recently asked me to photograph her. She is one of those who is never satisfied with her appearance. Constantly working out, dieting, etc etc etc. Trying to reach that magical shape that she will find acceptable. But never actually being able to. Because it doesn’t exist. She is already this little waif of a woman to begin with.

I cant blame her. In certain aspect I am the same way. Not with my physical appearance. I mean, come on… Have you seen me? It just doesn’t get any better than this. But in other aspects, there are things I am never satisfied with. Certain things I want to do over and over again until I get it exactly right. In most things I will admit to being a slob. But certain things I am very anal about. They need to be exactly right. Or at least exactly the way I want them.

A few weeks ago, my friend finally accepted my offer to photograph her. Spent a few hours with her at her pilates studio. A few different poses in a few different outfits. One of which was a dress that she absolutely loved. Truthfully, the outfits didn’t matter. This girl is cute. No matter what. She could be dressed in a burlap sack and somehow find a way to make it look good. Just not from her point of view.

So I was surfing around to day, going through my normal routine of games, cartoons, and blogs… And I came to her super-secret hidden corner of the Interwebs. A little blog she has for ranting and raving and general bragging about her family. In one entry she posted from yesterday she was discussing the photos I had taken of her a few weeks ago. And she used the phrase “…I think for the first time since I saw my wedding photos - I thought - wow, I look beautiful…..“

I know it wasnt meant for me. But I get such a thrill when someone says this about a photo I took. Granted, I don’t think I should get all the credit for it. Like I said, she is already a beautiful woman. I just get a kick out of hearing her say my photo showed that too her.

This is my daughter. This is the abridged version of Oliver Twist. She started the book last night. She is half way through it. Did I mention she was 6? Did I mention how proud that makes me?

Thanks for your patience.

What we’ve done in the past for similar cases is ask that
members moderate their account for a month. We can then
review and determine if there’s a better understanding.

You can bulk flag your content via the Organizer. Drag the
photos that you want to change the safety level on from the
finder strip at the bottom into to work area. Then select
“Set safety filter” from the “Permissions” menu (second
from left).

We’ll be able to view how you’ve flagged your photos. If we
can see that you’re making an effort to flag your content
appropriately, then we will revert your overall safety
level to “safe/public”. The photos that you’ve flagged
yourself will remain as “moderate” or “restricted” while
the majority will be viewable by all.

Please feel free to respond to this email on or after
December 21st and we’ll review your account.
