Oh yea…. did I mention FUCK! ???

OK…. So after the company I work for was bought, I now report directly to the director of IT. Which means I am pretty much my own boss. If I need hardware or software, I send him an email and he finds a way to get it. Other than that, he leaves me alone and lets me do my job. I run the ATL Office of this company.

So for the first time in my professional career, I finally have a boss that I like. He trusts me enough to let me do my job the way I want it done. As long as things work, he couldn’t care less. And I am a big geek. My shit needs to work all the time.

Just had a nice Conf Call this morning. Seems my IT Director is leaving the company to go back to school and finish his Mastes.

Selfish Bastard! Leaving to better himself and shit.

NOW who am I going to have to deal with?

Thanks for your patience.

What we’ve done in the past for similar cases is ask that
members moderate their account for a month. We can then
review and determine if there’s a better understanding.

You can bulk flag your content via the Organizer. Drag the
photos that you want to change the safety level on from the
finder strip at the bottom into to work area. Then select
“Set safety filter” from the “Permissions” menu (second
from left).

We’ll be able to view how you’ve flagged your photos. If we
can see that you’re making an effort to flag your content
appropriately, then we will revert your overall safety
level to “safe/public”. The photos that you’ve flagged
yourself will remain as “moderate” or “restricted” while
the majority will be viewable by all.

Please feel free to respond to this email on or after
December 21st and we’ll review your account.

Apparently Flickr isn’t even responding to me any more. I sent an email Friday afternoon, and again this morning. And I am getting nothing in return. Not even a response telling me they are or aren’t working on it. I love being ignored. Especially when I am a paying customer.

I am still wondering when my account will be set back to safe?

….that is the question….

I mean my Flickr Pro account….. I got a notice in email today that my Flickr Pro account runs out. So I started looking back and realized I hadn’t actually uploaded anything in a few weeks. But that is because after I finished my 365 Days Project, I decided to take a break. Taking, editing, and uploading a Self-Portrait every day, is a it much. but it was one of those things that I started and wanted to see to the end.

I am thinking about doing something similar for next year. But instead of one a day, maybe just one a week. And instead of them being strictly self-portraits, maybe just portraits in general. Still some SPs in there every once in a while, but more of others than I had last year. The good thing I have a few friends that are willing and able to sit for me. From allison_smiley (here) who is willing on a moments notice…. to my wife, xavi7734 who finally after years of telling me to fuck off has agreed. I suppose I need to meet someone whose name starts with a Z so I can actually say from “A to Z”.

Not too mention I have had psychosu (here) reschedule on me a few times. Not that it was her fault, just that it happens And Hannah has asked me to do both some photos of her family as well as some maternity shots. So those should be fun. And also my friend Julia said she may be interested in having more taken. At least let me redo the ones I already took of her…. Just because I wasn’t really happy with the outcome.

So that means… Hmmmm…. 47 more weeks to fill in Any Takers?
